Grace and Mercy Temple Ministry, Inc History

We have a charge to keep, and a God to glorify.

Their Call:

In 2010, Pastor Thomas Brown heard the divine call to establish Grace and Mercy Temple Ministry, Inc.  With unwavering faith, he and his wife, Co-Pastor Wilma Brown, said “Yes” to the will of God, stepping out in obedience and trusting His plan. Through prayer and supplication, the Lord placed the name Grace and Mercy Temple upon their hearts. What began as a step of faith has now grown into a thriving ministry rooted in our motto “Leading People to stay connected to Christ.”

Our Birth:

From February through November of 2010, Pastor and Co-Pastor Brown held Bible Study three Monday nights each month in their home. During this season of humble beginnings, Pastor Brown sought a permanent location for worship. After traveling many miles throughout Liberty County, he discovered an empty building on Airport Road that seemed to be the place God had prepared.

After expressing his desire to rent the building to the owner, Pastor Brown was met with an unexpected challenge: the zoning committee informed him that the property was in a commercial zone and could not be used for a church. Yet, through steadfast fasting and prayers of the saints, the zoning committee reversed its decision and changed the zoning from commercial allowing Pastor Brown to submit his request to the City Council of Walthouville.

In November 2010, the motion was carried, and the church found its first home at 2658A Airport Road. On December 5, 2010, God affirmed His charge to Pastor Brown as the first worship service was held. From that moment, souls were saved, and the ministry began to flourish under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

As the ministry continued to grow, God’s faithfulness was revealed once again. In February 2012, Grace and Mercy Temple Ministry expanded to include a Fellowship Hall, allowing for greater worship, fellowship, and community impact.

Our Purpose:

Today, Pastor and Co-Pastor Brown continue to walk in the vision God placed before them—building a ministry founded on love, grace, and mercy, and dedicated to transforming lives through the power of God’s Word.

Our Future:

A Prophetic Word

A Prophetic Word from Bishop Timothy Griffin spoken to Pastor and Co-Pastor Brown June 20th,2019. The stated: The angel of the Lord has come to this house to bless your house. God is about to supernaturally pour on this family in an unprecedented way. The favor of God …. I’m telling you Gods favor is on your life (speaking to Co-Pastor Brown. Gods favor is on this man of Gods life. And God is about to supernaturally restore your ministry He’s getting ready to bless your ministry. I saw a great warfare great attack, but God told me to tell you that the great warfare is about to turn into a great blessing. The enemy tried to sabotage your ministry he tried to destroy what God was doing in your ministry. But God told me to tell you He’s getting ready to retaliate against the devil. He would have done better to have left you alone because now God is about to doubly bless you in presence of the very same devil that attacked you. While I’m

talking to you, I hear nails banging and I smell sheet rock. God told me to tell you that the renovation and the expansion project. God said get ready because at the proper time and season. I hear the sound of the pouring of cement you are going to lay a foundation and you’re going to build Him a house from ground. God said be not weary in your well doing. You’re about to walk into a season of reaping a harvest like never before God said do not forget the promise made to you when you sacrificed and made the decision to tell me yes. God says because you told me yes now, I’m saying yes to everything I told you. What has been hindered and delayed. While I’m talking to you know I hear pens writing on paper, I’m looking at a table in a bank and an officer…. God told me to tell you the contract is approved the signatures are released and the money will be released for every project that He has assigned for your hands to complete for the church and your house.

As we look to God to lead us in a plain path so we might not error or fail God, but we celebrate Jesus Christ. Theme Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:21- 22
21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to
praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army,
saying: “Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.”
22 As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon
and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23 The
